Traveling through the vastness of the World Wide Web, you could more than once come across MP3 music, which performers put out for free. And so that before listening to it you do not have to download each track separately, the music and social service Extension FM, or Ex.fm for short, was invented.

Unfortunately, at the moment it is available only for Google Chrome users in the form of an extension of the same name, which "finds" links to MP3 files on visited pages and allows you to listen to them directly in the browser, in the background, even after the active tab is closed.

After registering with the service, you will also get access to various social "goodies" and to your remote multimedia library, which will store links to all found songs (its organization resembles an iTunes library).

At the beginning of the summer, Ex.fm finally got its own application for iOS, which allows you to:

• directly on the iDevice, get access to all your favorite tracks from your library;
• listen to songs that your friends love;
• in a few clicks, share a link to the current track on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr, scrape tracks on Last.fm;
• and even listen to music from the iPhone library (similar to the built-in iPod.app).

You can also use AirPlay technology as the mobile app is compatible with iOS 4.0 and above.
