IOS has a useful feature that shows you exactly how your battery is being used up. With its help, you can find out which application turned out to be the most voracious in the last 7 days or 24 hours.
Open "Settings" on your mobile device and select the "Battery" section.
In it you will see the subsection "Battery Usage". By default, it displays the battery consumption as a percentage. If you click on the dial in the upper right corner, the information will be presented in more detail.
Some apps have two indicators of battery usage:
- "On the screen" - this is the time during which the program was actively used and was open on the screen.
- "Background" - the time when the application was used in active mode, but was opened when another program was running. This means that the battery power was being used (at this time, the application could be updating, playing music or podcasts, and other background tasks). Some programs can consume a decent amount of charge.
To save battery power, you can turn on the power saving mode (section "Battery") or turn off the updating of certain applications in the background. This can be done in the "General" → "Content update" section.
What is this information for? In order not to be left with a suddenly discharged smartphone. Forewarned is forearmed. With the most power hungry apps, you should be prepared to charge up pretty soon.
