The Kitty Hawk startup, bought by Google co-founder Larry Page, has unveiled the Flyer, a single-seater flying car. The device is named after the Wright brothers' first airplane.

The aircraft is a hybrid of a quadcopter, a seaplane and an electric vehicle and weighs just over 113 kg. The device is capable of reaching speeds of over 30 km / h and flying at an altitude of one to three meters.

The Flyer is driven by five rotors powered by electric motors. So far, the battery is only enough for a flight of 20 minutes. And the device can only take off from the water and land on it.

But, according to the creators, in the future, the autonomy of the Flyer will increase significantly, and the flight speed will reach 160 km / h. True, you first have to equip the pilot with a parachute.
