It seems Xiaomi is releasing almost everything. Now the company has introduced its own version of LEGO. Unlike the usual Chinese kits, Mitu Builder DIY is not a copy, but its own development with many non-standard solutions.

The assembly instructions are clear, colorful and very detailed. Despite the huge number of details, even a 7–8 year old child will be able to assemble it using paper instructions.

The disadvantage of the set is excessive precision in the execution of parts. After connecting them to each other, it becomes difficult to disassemble the structure. Here the child may not cope, although Mitu Builder DIY is positioned as a construction set for children 10-14 years old.

Programming and control via smartphone

The application works on devices running Android 4.3 and higher and iOS 6 and higher. After installing the application, you will have to enter your Mi account data or create a new one.

After successful connection, the robot's battery percentage will be displayed at the top of the app. There are three modes in total:

  • Route planning mode. You draw on the smartphone screen the route the toy follows.
  • Gamepad mode. The screen displays a familiar game pad with intuitive controls.
  • Robot programming mode. Allows you to set actions and cycles using ready-made cubes and resembles real block programming of microcontrollers.
