Even with the arrival of Touch ID, two-factor authentication is still one of the most reliable ways to protect your accounts from theft. There are even universal applications, such as those that allow you to protect the accounts of popular services.
Apple's two-factor authentication works in most countries, including Russia, but is not yet available to Ukrainian users. Below we will show you how to enable it.
Here's what to do:
- Go to the page and click "Manage your Apple ID".
-
Select the Password and Security tab, then Get Started at the top and follow the prompts. In the beginning, you will have to answer two questions that you set when registering an account.
-
Add your phone number and enter the four-digit code that will come to the selected device.
- You will be shown the Recovery Key, which you need to write down and never lose.
Losing your recovery key can block your Apple ID and make it impossible to fix it. How do you feel about two-factor authentication? Don't you think it is redundant, given the Touch ID and complex password?
