Using life hacks to increase productivity is the right and good thing, just remember that your neighbor's grass is always greener. If it seems to you that everyone around is super-organized, and you alone are not doing anything, then you will like Sergei Bolisov's honest column.

What do I know about my disorganization
What do I know about my disorganization

I am sure that somewhere inside I am a deeply organized person, but so far outwardly this is weakly manifested. I want to be able to plan things so that I would not be ashamed of every day I live. They say the first step to solving a problem is to understand and formulate. In this post, I have collected everything I know about my disorganization in order to understand where to go next.

  • If you wake up and have not made a to-do list, the day is lost: urgent tasks are scattered everywhere, and at two o'clock in the afternoon it seems that making a list is already pointless. So the day moves along the knurled one.
  • I constantly reassure myself: as soon as I finish everything important and urgent, I will return to Trello and take up my current tasks. But there is so much of this important and urgent that I don't get it right until the end of the day. You have to scatter something, divide something into small parts and transfer it.
  • It feels like eight out of ten things that I mark on the calendar do not work at the appointed time. Gradually I shift it for an hour or two, and at the end of the day I am horrified how much I didn’t do. This does not apply to workshops and meetings.
  • Disorganization seems to be talking to me: “Don't worry, you will manage everything without a plan. These tasks are simple, take them, and then somehow you will get to the less pleasant ones. " As a result, less pleasant tasks are constantly shifting, but in fact, the overall progress of projects depends only on their solution.
  • I noticed that the most productive time is from nine to twelve in the morning, I try to fit more work into it. If it doesn't work, around twelve I understand: that's it, the best hours of the day are gone, and I haven't done anything serious. This is demotivating and distracting for the rest of the day.

In the next post, I will collect tricks to help you organize your affairs. Or maybe they interfere, but I still use them, because I have not fully understood the effectiveness.

Let's figure it out together.
