Google turns 20 this month. Its first and most important product was the search engine of the same name, which is the largest in the world today. The company has prepared a lot of innovations for the anniversary, and soon they will be available to users.
No matter how other services of the company have changed during all this time, the search engine itself visually remains practically unchanged. It's still the same easy-to-use service. This is how it looked when it first launched back in 1998.

And this is what the issue looked like. Links to other search engines at the bottom of the page are especially interesting. Except for Yahoo! and Amazon, most of these sites have been down for a long time.

The differences from the current version do not seem to be so significant. Even the colors of the logo remained the same, although the logo itself became flatter and the exclamation mark disappeared. The list of search results pages with ten letters "o" in the name of the search engine also remained unchanged. Otherwise, it's still the same Google as 20 years ago.
The company is now part of the huge Alphabet holding, co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It was they who in 1998 stood at the origins of Google.
