Connect your logical thinking and find a pattern to become part of an elite get-together.
A cool party is going to be in town. To get to it, you need to know the password, which everyone calls at the entrance. If he turns out to be correct, the door will be opened. Unfortunately, you were not given the code word, so you decided to track how others get to the party.
After watching the entrance for about an hour, you notice that the password is not just a word or a combination of numbers. This is a number that for some reason is constantly changing.
Here is what the guests heard and answered:
“Twelve,” says the guard.
- Ten, - the guest answers.
The door opens.
“Six,” the guard says to the next guest.
- Five, - he answers.
The door is open again.
You come to the door and decide to tempt fate. The guard calls the number ten. What should you answer?
The guests' answer is the number of letters in the numbers that the guard calls. The word "twelve" has ten letters, and the word "six" has five letters. So, in response to "ten" you have to say "six" to get to the party.
