For those who don't want to spend money on Google Music or Spotify.
1. YouTube
There is a lot of music on YouTube for all tastes. It is not necessary to become a YouTube Music subscriber, as you can also listen for free: compositions from clips, tracks uploaded by artists for review, or songs uploaded by other users.
On desktops, listening to music from YouTube is as easy as shelling pears - launch your favorite video in the browser and switch to another tab or minimize the window. On mobile devices, this trick will not work, since the official YouTube app does not allow video playback in the background. But this limitation can be bypassed by installing NewPipe.
New Pipe is an unofficial open source Android client for YouTube with tons of cool stuff. It weighs very little, but is capable of playing video in the background, leaving only music, or playing videos over other applications in a pop-up window. It also allows you to create your own playlists and tag songs. In addition, NewPipe wastes very little mobile traffic.

4. Yandex. Radio
A well-known service from a popular search engine. He knows how to select music according to your mood, has a decent collection of tracks and a simple interface. It is somewhat annoying that, unlike Yandex. Music, there is no track rewind, but that's what the radio is for. But the service is completely free. You can start using it even without a Yandex account.
On Yandex. Radio, you can launch compositions suitable for a specific occupation (travel, trip, workout, party), select tracks according to your favorite genres and listen to works from different eras. There is also quite a lot of Russian music here, in case you prefer Russian performers.

The service is superficially similar to SoundCloud. So, if you have dealt with one, it is easy to get used to the other. Only the genres presented differ. If on SoundCloud you can find pop, rock, metal, soundtracks, and quite some exotic indie, then Audiomack focuses more on hip-hop, electronica, Latin music and reggae. Fans of these genres will definitely like the app.

10. Radiooooo
Quite an unusual service. Its interface is designed as a world map with a timeline at the bottom. Choose a place and a year - and you can listen to what kind of music was popular there. On the left, you can see the name of the song being played and the name of the artist, the album cover, as well as the "Like" and "Share" buttons. The service is extremely easy to manage, and it looks strangely cozy.
The playback tempo is controlled by three switches at the top, named Fast, Slow and Weird. Another interesting feature is Taxi. In the menu, you specify several destinations and the time at which you will travel. A special playlist of music from those regions and eras will be created for you. Finally, there are several secret locations on the map with their own music - Christmas Island, Lazy Island, and so on. By clicking on them, you will hear the music of the corresponding mood.

11. Bandcamp
First of all, Bandcamp is a digital indie music store. The number of artists featured and available albums is impressive. However, all tracks here can be listened to for free. The quality, however, will be lower. In addition, there is a fair amount of music available for free download upon request for free music.
Of course, Bandcamp is not a streaming service that you can put in the background and forget about it. But with its help it is easy to find many new and little-known performers.

That is, it carries out the so-called scrobbling in order to help search for new interesting performers and discover genres that are still unknown to you. The application allows you to listen to some tracks for free, pulling them from YouTube and Spotify, but above all it is a recommendation service.
However, Last.fm has a dedicated page that collects free-to-download tracks. Music is downloaded in MP3 format - no account required on Last.fm. There is no sorting here, so this is not the best way to get hold of new music. But in the end, why not?
