We already have you with one method of solving this problem. But using it requires superuser rights and installing Xposed, which is not suitable for everyone. Therefore, we want to offer you another simple and affordable way to listen to music from YouTube in the background. To do this, you only need the Firefox for Android browser.

  1. Download and install the mobile version of Firefox from the link that you will find at the end of the article.
  2. Launch the program and go to the YouTube website.
  3. Find the song you want and start playback.
  4. After that, you can minimize Firefox, launch other programs, or turn off the screen altogether and put your smartphone in your pocket. The music will still sound.

This method has a slight drawback. It lies in the fact that Firefox does not display any notifications in the status bar or on the lock screen with which you could control playback. So if you need to pause the music or switch to the next track, you'll have to open Firefox again.
