Site owners and responsible webmasters usually pay a lot of attention to two things - instant notifications of problems (constant monitoring of server availability) and monitoring site traffic.

Several applications have been created for the iPhone and iPad that use the Google Analytics API. Such programs show statistics in a simplified and more understandable way. They are not suitable for deep analysis, but they allow you to see the big picture.

One of the most popular programs in its class is Analytiks by Greek developers.

The program itself has an extremely ascetic interface. The authors say they created the app with bloggers in mind rather than major portal owners.

The main screen displays statistics for the current day. At the same time, only two indicators are displayed - the number of page views and the sources of traffic among search engines and social networks. Analytiks will show you what percentage of visitors came to your site from Twitter, Facebook and Google. If Bing is among the popular sources (it also happens!), Then it will be indicated as well. But I could not see at least once the percentage of traffic from Russian search engines.

Analytiks is also a motivating app. If the traffic to the site grows, you will see a green plaque with praise (“You are a rock star!”, “Great,” etc.). If traffic drops, the bar will turn red, and you will be reminded of the importance of fresh, interesting content.

To find out not the current attendance, but to try to determine the trend, you will have to turn the iPhone to a horizontal position. In this case, Analytiks will be able to show you the data for the last 9 months at once. Both the number of pages viewed and the number of unique visitors will be displayed.

The greatest strength of Analytiks is the automatic generation of simple infographics. Tap the center of the screen twice and you will get a nice summary of the countries where you are being read, popular browsers, and you will see a diagram "Mac vs. PC" and "visits from desktop computer against mobile traffic".

I also liked that Analytiks supports 2-step authentication. Some competitors require a password directly to your Google account. It's not safe. If 2-step authorization is enabled, you give Analytiks a password specially generated for this application (by the way, read about how to enable 2-step authorization here)

The biggest disadvantage of Analytiks for me is the limitation on the number of sites for which you want to receive statistics. The limit is strict - no more than 5 projects.
