I have long wanted to fulfill my small dream - to control music on a computer from anywhere in the apartment using an iPhone. People who use iTunes will laugh at me and say that there is a Remote, but since I use Google Music, I had to do without it until I found Unified Remote.
This application allows you to control almost all processors on your computer using an iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network.
The features of the application are divided into categories. Computer power management, keyboard, VLC, player and many others are in separate places and this is more an advantage than a disadvantage. Moreover, if you click on the list of actions for VLC, the computer automatically launches this application. Comfortable.
It is also possible to activate the keyboard and mouse. iPhone acts as a touchpad - you can slide your finger across the screen to simulate a mouse. At the same time, there is practically no delay, all actions take place on the computer instantly.
As far as music controls go, the interface could be better. But everything works just perfect. By clicking on the pause or volume change button, all actions are immediately performed on the computer. I tested the app with a Mac, so I'm not sure if everything is as good on a PC as well.
The app is free, but there are in-app purchases that unlock additional functionality. The good news is that they are not needed, the free functionality is enough. If you know such applications, share them in the comments!
