Both flagships received the latest proprietary Kirin 980 processor, made using the 7-nm process technology and equipped with a dual neuromodule. The former focuses on AI-based operations, while the latter focuses exclusively on performance improvement and optimization.

The Mate 20 can be equipped with 4 or 6 GB of RAM, while the Mate 20 Pro comes with 6 GB. The volume of internal memory in both cases is 128 GB.

Both devices support expansion cards of the new nanoSD standard, which are noticeably more compact than classic microSD cards.

Batteries

Huawei Mate 20 received a 4000 mAh battery with support for SuperCharge fast charging via the USB Type-C port. In just 30 minutes, the smartphone can be recharged by 58%.

The Mate 20 Pro has a capacity of 4,200 mAh and in the same half hour the battery is charged by 70%.

In addition, the Mate 20 Pro supports round trip wireless charging. It can not only receive energy from the Qi-base, but also give it away, charging other smartphones and accessories.

Other features

Both models support NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi b / g / n / ac MIMO. For the Mate 20 Pro, the ability to work in LTE Cat 21 networks with a data rate of 1, 4 Gbps is also announced.

Among other features that are relevant for both flagships, it is worth highlighting stereo speakers, a dual-frequency GPS module with more accurate location determination and an updated PC mode with wireless connection to the monitor.
