If you are a fan of pasta with an abundance of thick cheese sauce, then this variation of American Mac & Cheese is perfect for you. They can easily feed a large family to their fill, and a dish is prepared using only one dish.
Ingredients:
- 55 g butter;
- 45 g flour;
- 720 ml of milk;
- 480 ml of water;
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 250 g pasta;
- 3 cups grated cheese;
- ¼ glasses of bread crumbs;
- a handful of parsley.
While the oven is heating up, make a simple béchamel sauce. Melt the butter and add flour to it. The finished mixture - ru - is then diluted with milk, which should be added in portions so that there are no lumps.
When the milk has been poured in, dilute the sauce with water, add salt and freshly ground pepper and let it simmer over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken. Then add the pasta and cook for no more than a minute, remembering to stir.
Cover the dishes with pasta and sauce with foil and bake at 180 degrees for 12 minutes. When you take it out of the oven, the sauce will feel thin. However, as soon as you add grated cheese and mix everything well, it will acquire the ideal thickness and mouth-watering viscosity.
Now sprinkle a couple more tablespoons of cheese on top of the dish, add bread crumbs and grill until the surface is browned.
The dish can be tasted 5 minutes after removing it from the oven. It is best to eat pasta and cheese right away, as they absorb too much sauce over time and become very soft.
