The easiest and fastest way to prepare classic meatballs in sauce, which will require only 20 minutes of time and one pan.
Ingredients
- 400 g of tomatoes in their own juice;
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 400 g ground beef;
- 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 1 sprig of rosemary;
- ⅔ glasses of grated hard cheese;
- a pinch of chili flakes;
- 4-5 slices of mozzarella;
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Preparation
Having ready-made minced meat on hand, cooking meatballs will take a few minutes. Combine ground beef, puréed garlic, chopped rosemary leaves, bread crumbs, a handful of grated hard cheese, and chili flakes together. Don't forget a generous pinch of salt.
For the minced meat to form better and keep its shape during frying, beat it on the bowl 4-5 times, throwing it forcefully into the bowl. This simple trick will help break up some of the meat fibers and bind them together.
Divide the meat into 8 portions and roll each into a ball.
Heat the olive oil and fry the meatballs in it over high heat. The meatballs should be crispy on the outside, but moist on the inside. This usually takes 2-3 minutes.
Peel the tomatoes and pour them over the contents of the pan. Add sugar, a pinch of salt and pepper. When most of the liquid has evaporated, taste the sauce and add more salt and pepper to taste.
Leave the meatballs over medium heat for 12-15 minutes, then add the mozzarella slices, cover the pan and remove from heat, letting the cheese melt.
Serve with your favorite side dishes, from spaghetti to mashed potatoes.
