How to calibrate iPhone and iPad battery for longer battery life

The battery life of mobile devices has always been the talk of the town. And although Apple devices compare favorably with competitors in this regard, the problem sometimes escalates with the release of a new firmware or its update, when the naked eye can see that the iPhone holds a charge much worse. Fortunately, this problem can be solved with the old "old-fashioned" method, battery controller calibration.

The essence of calibration is to "zero" the controller, which controls the battery and is responsible for the boundary limits of charge and discharge. The capacity of the battery changes over time and the controller can be "naughty" by not charging it or, on the contrary, turning it off too early. This often happens after updating the firmware on an iPhone or iPad. So, there is a possibility that after calibration the battery will come to its senses and show the best results. It is quite simple to execute.

  1. First of all, you need to completely drain the battery of your iOS device. Fully speaking, I mean discharge until the device shuts down completely. So play videos, play games, listen to music and load your gadget to the fullest.
  2. After that, we put the device on charge and charge it up to magical 100%. It is recommended to use a wall charger to provide the required charging current.
  3. Once your iPhone or iPad is charged to 100%, leave it hanging on the lanyard for another hour (to be sure).
  4. Now you need to disconnect your iOS device from the network and use it normally until the battery is completely discharged (completely!). Never plug your device into a charger or computer. It is very important! Otherwise, the spell will dissipate and our mantra may not work. ?
  5. Once again we charge the device to capacity and leave it to charge for another hour (as described in points 2 and 3).
  6. Now that's it. Your device battery is calibrated. Congratulations!

I know that it will be a little tedious to complete all these steps, you have to change your habits - do not connect the iPhone to the computer and charge strictly to 100%. However, believe me, it's worth it. At least we help many.

If you have a similar problem, try to calibrate all the same. It will not take a lot of your time and effort, but the result can be pleasantly surprised.
