So, the weekend is over - and we again dive into the routine of the work week. For many of us, this moment causes a lot of negative emotions: from apathetic detachment and "lethargy" to a little stress. Some cannot adapt all day long, until Tuesday.

Here are some tips on how to overcome or at least minimize this condition and how to make the contrast less harsh.

Plan at least one meaningful weekend action

Doing nothing is, of course, great. Sleeping, wallowing, clicking channels, watching funny videos on YouTube and not looking at the clock: we dream of all this on Friday night. However, if you have devoted all weekend only to pure idleness, then on Monday it usually comes around: “Well, what did I kill these two days for ?!”. Therefore, try to plan (and implement) at least one constructive action for the weekend. It can be something useful (I finally fixed the closet), pleasant (I finally got out to the theater with a girl), or creative (I finally built a kite with my son). The main thing is that from this action there is a tangible result: then on Monday morning you will have strong evidence that the weekend was not in vain.

Prepare everything in the evening

There is nothing worse than jumping all over the apartment on a bleak Monday morning in search of the necessary paper (keys, flash drive, unwashed blouse, etc.). Spend 15 minutes the day before packing - and then in the morning you will have an extra 15 minutes for sleep or a full breakfast. Speaking of clothes, Monday is the day when it's best not to experiment and put on a tried-and-true favorite thing in which you will feel stylish and comfortable.

Do not leave "tails" from Friday

If there is something left since the end of last week that you still have to finish on Monday, set aside at least a little time for it this weekend. The key word is "a little". Sometimes even 20 minutes of thinking about a task with a fresh mind can make your Monday life a lot easier. If, for example, there is an unfinished article left, google on a given topic on the weekend, relaxed, to the music. If the task is large and difficult, take at least one step, one approach, or just make a work plan without forcing yourself: after all, you have no one behind your shoulder, you do it for yourself.

Don't break the regime too abruptly

It's too late to go to bed on Saturday, and waking up at 3pm on Sunday is a bad idea. This is an unhealthy dream, and sleeping is sometimes worse for the body than not getting enough sleep. Firstly, you will have the feeling of a lost day: you just woke up, and it’s already evening, and tomorrow you’ll go to work. Secondly, the body will definitely remember all this for you: on the night from Sunday to Monday you will toss and turn without sleep, and in the morning you will get out of bed in the form of a zombie.

Spare your stomach

If your work schedule is so harsh that it’s okay to have lunch once every hundred years, spare yourself at least on the weekend. Do not go to bigmachines and other fast foods, do not buy chips and cola for the evening, if you are on a diet - do not break loose just because it is Saturday: well, it’s the weekend, you’re supposed to relax! Wrong formulation of the question. Eat better fresh herbs, fruits, vegetables, and finally cook something tasty and healthy yourself. From the point of view of the health of your body, this will just "relax". And on Monday you will feel much more refreshed and rested.

Start your Monday morning right

Wake up a little earlier than necessary. For half an hour. At first glance, it sounds absurd: to steal from yourself another half hour of time. But look at the other side - this half hour actually still applies to your weekend. Spend it on a bath, on your favorite music, on a hobby, on a walk, on whatever “non-Monday”. This will help you relax and recharge yourself with positive things in the morning, and as a result, you will quickly get back on track.

Distribute work cases correctly

If possible, devote the first half of the day to mechanical work that does not require much intellectual effort. Sort letters in mail, rake papers, do what you know how to do “on the machine”. Thus, the immersion into the abyss of everyday life will be smoother, and the chances of "screwing up" in the morning will decrease.

Smile

Even if you don't want to. Monday morning is a time when your chances of getting unearned rudeness on the street or at work are incredibly high. Smile at people, even if mechanically, through force: colleagues will be grateful to you, besides, a smile is an interesting thing, it automatically improves your mood after a while, albeit not much, but still.

Plan something good for Monday night

Waking up on Monday and knowing that another normal day has arrived is not at all the same as waking up and looking forward to a good evening after a hard day. Sign up for an evening with the hairdresser or schedule a meeting with a friend over a cup of tea. Download an interesting movie and keep it for your "dessert". There are a lot of options. The main thing is that the thought of the approaching evening will warm you all day.

Start preparing for next Monday now: come up with a chip for the weekend - by the way, it's not 5, but 4, 5 days left before them - dig up an interesting recipe that you want to try, find something attractive for yourself in the very near future. Life is much easier when you have something in front of you that is alluring, interesting, intriguing.

Have a nice working week!
