Each passed more than 40 tests to give the device an objective assessment according to various criteria. The speed of work, the quality of the display and the camera, autonomy and other parameters were taken into account. The leader was selected for each of them and for the totality of all assessments. When testing the screens, we took into account color accuracy, viewing angles, contrast level, brightness range and other similar characteristics. The leader was chosen Samsung Galaxy Note 8, equipped with a Super AMOLED matrix with a diagonal of 6, 3 inches and a resolution of 2 960 × 1 440 pixels.

The audio component of the devices was tested both with headphones and when outputting sound to the speaker. First place went to the LG V30, which received a four-channel Hi-Fi DAC and a bundled Bang & Olufsen headset. It is noteworthy that the Google Pixel 2 XL lagged behind him by one point, although it does not have such an audio chip.

At the second stage, users chose the winner by voting. Their leaderboard is slightly different. It is headed by the Google Pixel 2 XL. It is followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, OnePlus 5T, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and LG V30.

Here we tested the duration of the device without recharging under various scenarios of use. The most autonomous is Huawei Mate 10 Pro with a 4,000 mAh battery, and the Galaxy Note 8 did not even make the top five.

Better performance

The fastest smartphones were selected in this nomination. Moreover, not benchmark indicators were taken into account, but their own tests for performing various tasks. The OnePlus 5T is the best with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM and an FHD + display. The second place was taken by the gaming flagship Razer Phone.

To determine the winner, a simple formula was used, where the points scored in other tests were divided by the price of the device in dollars. The leader turned out to be quite expected - OnePlus 5T. The second place belongs to Nokia 8, which now costs 34,990 rubles in Russia.
