“I wake up early. And first of all I check who wrote to me during the night and whether everything is fine"

You are now a partner of Perelman People, a holding with 12 restaurants. How did your professional career begin?

I started working as soon as I turned 18. First, in the hotel business: there I learned impeccable service, communication with people - with Russians and foreigners, the subtleties of psychology. I am a sociologist by education, so all this was close to me.

I didn't want to work at the hotel for a long time. I was going to leave Russia to study and, possibly, stay to live somewhere in Europe. It was at that moment that I met my first husband (Vladimir Perelman, restaurateur. - Ed.). The meeting was fateful: he brought me into the restaurant business, we opened 12 establishments together and to this day we work side by side with him, although we are divorced.

At home, I always have a hearty breakfast. Taught by bitter experience. Despite the fact that I work in restaurants, I had a period when I ate very little. For some time, the body coped with this normally, but at some point it got offended and began to hurt.

I eat at home, because at work important things or meetings await me right away. I can just forget about breakfast. I also definitely force myself to have dinner.

I take the subway to work. By the way, I always go there in the morning - it doesn't matter if I have an early meeting or not. I don't like working from home.

An important life hack. If you are annoyed, do not open mail or instant messengers. Otherwise, it is possible to understand something wrong, to break loose and respond in a rush. You need to let yourself breathe out.

It so happened that many in the restaurant sector are active after seven o'clock in the evening. Therefore, I usually work until 22:00. Then I come home, feed the child and myself, if I have the strength. There is almost no time left for a hobby. Nevertheless, I want to start dancing. I also try to attend piano lessons in the morning.

“I think computer science lessons are one of the most important in school. We didn't have them, which is a pity"

How do you remember all your tasks for the day, week? Do you use special programs or do you write everything down in a diary the old way?

I have a calendar in my phone (like any other modern person), and I write everything there: every appointment, visit to the doctor, music lessons. Everything is tied to the calendar - it is unrealistic to remember the most. There is too much information flow.

Thanks to the calendar, I don't miss a single meeting - I can't afford to do that.

I also make various notes on my phone. For example, I write down ideas for restaurants. I train myself to enter them into the phone immediately, even if they come at night.

Think you won't forget a good idea? Trust me: forget it! Therefore, create notes without delay. There are many ideas, they may be delusional, but some work and are implemented.

I also have a diary: in it I write, create, make sketches. By the way, before, when I gave technical specifications for layouts, I always drew and sent my sketches to designers.

You are currently testing ASUS ZenBook 14 UX434. Do you think he could serve as a diary?

I think yes, definitely. Especially for those who work more at the computer. It may be strange at first, but often something new brings us great benefits and makes life comfortable. For example, this year I switched from Mail.ru to Yandex.ru. The first two weeks were unbearably hard for me, honestly. And now I'm happy.

How do you conduct meetings with employees?

I prefer to communicate with employees vis-a-vis. But sometimes we do conferences online when someone leaves for another city. For example, in the near future I plan to live in another country for a month. Of course, we will communicate via video link. Perfect for these purposes: it has a good webcam and a wide bezel-less screen.

Online communication is also needed to communicate with freelancers or performers. For example, we made photo content with the photographer Yuri Treskov. And when we were negotiating with him, he lived in Paris.

ZenBook is well suited for more than just online conferencing. In offline meetings, it will come in handy to display tables, estimates, presentations on the big screen. This is very convenient when a lot of people are participating in the meeting at once. You can discuss restaurant design, budget, marketing project together.

What features of the ASUS ZenBook 14 UX434 have been most useful to you in your work?

I have been working without a mouse for many years, so a high-quality sensor is very important for me. In ZenBook, you can use your fingers to control both the main large screen and the touchpad - this is a full-fledged secondary display, similar to a smartphone screen.

On ScreenPad 2.0, you can run a variety of applications and multitask. For example, on the main screen, fill out a plan for a month, and on the small screen, check mail or watch a movie.

ZenBook also has easy navigation and excellent internet speed. Plus the laptop is fast. I am a reflex person: I think quickly, speak quickly, work quickly, walk quickly. And it is important for me that the technique functions on the same wavelength as me.

I am also a visual. I absolutely love the color reproduction of the NanoEdge display: you can put some inspiring picture on your desktop and enjoy.

Do you often take your laptop with you to work?

Often. And he always travels with me. I travel by metro, and our restaurants are scattered all over Moscow. ASUS ZenBook 14 UX434 is perfect because it is small, compact, lightweight.

I remember my first laptop - such a heavy brick. It was very difficult with him, especially returning home - I thought that my hands would fall off. And with ZenBook, of course, cool. You don't even have to buy a special case or backpack: the laptop can easily fit into a medium-sized bag.

What do you think, if a person is far from technological progress, will this prevent him from becoming a first-class marketer?

Yes, it will. In PR, you need to work with a large number of project plans, cloud storage, and the same e-mail.

You need to be able to use everything. Tables were a bit hard for me before, because I am a creative person. Nevertheless, it is a part of our life and work. We cannot draw something on a piece of paper and bring it to the CEO for approval.

If a person spends a lot of time on a table in Excel, because he does not know how to work in it, it is bad. There will be no time for creativity.

Thanks to technology and the Internet, now you can expand any project to an unlimited number of participants. Share your spreadsheets or best practices with a specialist who is overseas. And it is more convenient to create with the use of technology. For example, when we do Perelman Fest, we work with the whole team. Tasks can be visualized, which is cool.

In general, I believe that computer science lessons are one of the most important in school. We didn't have that, which is a pity. Now my child is 5 years old, and while he is far from technology - we are not giving him a tablet yet. But recently I thought: are we not complicating his life with this, because many children were literally born with tablets in their hands.

What qualities should a person have in order for you to be comfortable working with him?

Responsibility. You can teach everything, but you can never teach responsibility. A sense of humor and lightness are also important: work does not always go smoothly, and it is important how a person reacts to it.

In the restaurant industry, kindness, love and respect for others are needed. A person should not speak evil. And also outlook - it gives ideas and inspiration.

ZenBook 14 UX434 will be appreciated by people who often travel or hold business meetings. The high-capacity battery helps the laptop to work without recharging for up to 12 hours. And thanks to its small size, ZenBook fits even into a regular shopper or city backpack.

Despite its size, it is very productive. It is built on an eighth generation Intel® Core ™ i7 processor and a discrete NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 graphics card. ZenBook can be used in any environment: tested to meet the military-grade MIL ‑ STD-810G reliability standard, tested at altitude, in extreme temperatures and humidity.
