I know that you, like me, often cannot overpower yourself and take action. By "act" I mean a lot: start working, go in for sports, or start. In this article, I want to talk about one of the ways that helps me get out of the "swamp of doing nothing" and start acting.

A seemingly very simple idea helped me. I wrote out all the activities that I wanted to do every daybut which are so hard to start doing. This includes practicing guitar techniques, watching TED videos, writing interesting ideas, meditating, and reading business materials.

I must say right away that each of these activities is interesting to me, it's just for some reason very hard to force myself to start doing them. So I started counting how often I do them.

To do this, I used an application that allows you to enter information about the activities that you want to turn into a habit and monitor statistics.

Surprisingly, it worked. On the days when I don't feel like doing these things, I still start doing them simply for check … Perhaps this is not the best solution, but the most interesting thing comes after, when after a while I forget about the application, but the habit of studying remains.

As you can imagine, it is not necessary to download this particular application. You don't even need to use the app. You can just write down a list of things you want to do on a daily basis and methodically cross them out after you get overwhelmed and start. It's the hardest to start, then it will be much easier.
