An exclusive feature of the new Google smartphones is now available to everyone.

Google is trying to endow its smartphones not only with good hardware, but also with many interesting software functions that are not available on other devices. The new live wallpapers from Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are one such feature.

Pixel 2 Live Wallpapers is a whole series of high quality animated desktop backgrounds with satellite imagery, landscapes and geometric patterns. They can interact with the user and react to changing environments. For example, geometric patterns change from the position of the gadget in space, and the Earth in a satellite image rotates in accordance with the time zone.

Indian programmer Pranav Pandey managed to extract the necessary files from the firmware of new smartphones and modify them so that they work on any device running Android 6.0 and higher. The only condition is the presence on the smartphone of the "Wallpapers" application from Google.

To install new live wallpapers, you need to download the modified application from the APKMirror website. Install it on your smartphone, then open the "Wallpaper" program and swipe the screen to the bottom.
