We have included songs from the respective Pitchfork, NME, Shazam, The Wrap and The Fader selections in the playlist. Most often in the lists of these editions there were various collaborations with Justin Bieber, tracks by Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Lorde. Not all of them have been released in recent months - as expected, some spring releases have become hits of the summer. We, in turn, decided to talk about three great albums that came out recently.

Lana Del Rey - Lust For Life

At first glance, the fifth album of the American singer does not seem to be something radically new: the same dramatic dream-pop, recognizable voice and airy musical landscapes. The first impression, however, is deceptive: many critics argue that in this disc Lizzie Grant deliberately left the artificially created image of a modern pop diva and showed herself, sincere and real. In part, this statement arose due to the appearance in the singer's lyrics of social themes, in particular the theme of world political conflicts.

The album is rich in joint compositions with renowned musicians: The Weeknd, A $ Ap Rocky, Stevie Nicks, Sean Lennon. On Lust For Life, you can hear borrowings from different genres: trap beats, classic rock tunes, orchestral inserts and even hip-hop flows performed by Lana. All this makes the album not boring, but not oversaturated.

Phoenix - Ti Amo

The sixth album of the French from Phoenix is worth listening to before the sun of the last hot days disappeared behind the autumn clouds. Ti Amo's music is a real Italo disco, but interspersed with modern electropop. The lyrics are performed in different languages, but the topics covered are clear to everyone and without translation. Phoenix music is about feelings: love, desire, lust and innocence.

I want to compare this album with the music of popular artists, and the second one will almost always play. Phoenix's work as Daft Punk, just unfinished. Like indie pop, but not clichéd at all. Like a retrowave, but with a bunch of original solutions.

alt-J - Relaxer

The third album of the British trio alt-J is listened to in one breath thanks not only to the relatively short duration of the compositions, but also to their diversity. There is an interpretation of the folk song House of the Rising Sun, which has not been performed by anyone, the experimental electro-pop composition Deadcrush, in which critics found the influence of Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails, and one of the songs uses an almost toy Casiotone synthesizer, acquired by the musicians for a pittance. on eBay. The title of the album Relaxer is absolutely justified, and it is interesting to listen to it both with close attention and in the background.
