The main function of Wallcat is images that are updated every day. All images are divided into four channels - Gradients, Structure, Fresh Air and Northern Perspective - each of which is unique in its own way. In the morning you will have a new picture on your desktop, and at any time you can switch to another channel to choose the right wallpaper for your mood.
To select a channel, after installing the program, find the Wallcat icon in the notification area on your computer and right-click on it. There you can also select the Start at login function, which allows you to automatically start the application every time you turn on your computer. Optionally, you can turn it off.
The advantage of the application is its simple interface and easy customization. If you have more than one screen, then you can set different channels for each monitor. Wallcat uses Unsplash's free photo library of over 30,000 images from around the world.
The app is now available for Windows and macOS computers. There is also a Chrome extension that does the same thing as the Wallcat desktop app: it turns your new tab into a gallery of beautiful photos, and in addition, it shows the most visited sites.
In the future, the developers plan not only to release Wallcat for iOS, but also to launch more collections on a variety of topics. But for now, four channels for your desktop will be enough to make it look beautiful and new.
