The updated version of the popular email client has a couple of significant improvements, which are still accompanied by serious flaws.

Like everyone else who used Mailbox right after the beta was announced, I experienced extremely unstable work. This forced me to switch to a more successful competitor - Airmail, which I still use. The list of changes in the new version of the Dropbox email client is encouraging and makes us pay attention to it again.

Today the beta version of Mailbox for Mac has been updated from version 0.3 to 0.7. The creators gave minimalism to the design, and the animations got rid of the brakes. This added integrity to the experience of working with the application and brought them closer to the experience of a full-fledged release.

Nevertheless, the novelty received mixed reviews from users. Someone saw the new design as a step backward, while others encountered new bugs in the program. For example, although the submit buttons work, they remain gray even after entering the correct data in the required fields, and the email addresses for some beta testers are displayed incorrectly. For me, the lack of the option to transfer the application icon from the dock to the top panel remained the disadvantage.

@Mailbox Since the new update this morning it is impossible to send new messages, it looks like it doesn’t recognize adresses.

If you are using the Mailbox beta, then the update will come or has already arrived automatically, while others can download the new product for free on its web page. There are still a lot of bugs in the application, but the release of this update gives hope for an early release of the next versions of the mail client.
