Chrome Canary will show what Google's browser will be like in the future

For lovers of daring experiments and innovations.

Google is developing three versions of the browser at once: stable, beta and experimental, which is called Chrome Canary. It is in the latter that the most interesting functions and new opportunities appear. Here they undergo initial testing, after which they are moved first to the Chrome Beta, and then to the stable version.

Using Chrome Canary may not always be enjoyable: it's still an experimental program that can cause bugs and crashes. However, nothing prevents you from installing this browser alongside regular Chrome. You can use it on an ongoing basis, and when you want to take a look at what the browser will be like in a couple of months, then launch Chrome Canary.

Chrome Canary already out of the box is significantly different from the regular version of the browser. But you can make it even more original if you get to the hidden settings on the page.

… This is where the most recent experimental features are found that no other web browser has yet.

Here is some of them:

• chrome: // flags / # enable-heavy-page-capping

• - warns of heavy pages. After activating this option, when you switch to a page that is too voluminous, a warning with a button to stop loading will appear at the top of the browser. It is useful for those who have a slow connection.

• chrome: // flags / # new-tab-button-position

• - configures the position of the button for opening a new tab: at the beginning of the panel, at the end or after all open tabs.

• chrome: // flags / # single-tab-mode

• - makes visual changes if you have only one tab open.

• chrome: // flags / # enable-gamepad-vibration

• - includes gamepad support in browser games.

• chrome: // flags / # upcoming-ui-features

• - activates all experimental changes in the browser interface. Let you see what a future build of Chrome will look like.

• chrome: // flags / # disallow-unsafe-http-downloads

• - turns on blocking of downloading files from unsafe sources.
