Apple released an official iOS update yesterday. Find out what new features are available in version 10.3.

1. File system APFS

IOS 10.3 introduces the new APFS file system. But before updating, please back up your data. The new system is incompatible with the HFS + that Apple devices used to run on. You could lose your data.

This is not an interface update, so you may not notice the difference in performance. However, APFS is better optimized and supports stronger encryption. In other words, working with files on iOS is now faster.

2. Search for AirPods

Now you can find your lost AirPods. You can search for them by a map or sound alert through the Find iPhone app. The feature works oddly: the app will only show where you last synced AirPods with your iPhone or other Apple device.

3. Apple ID profile

All information about the profile, security settings, iCloud account data, App Store settings is now collected in one section. Go to Settings, there is now a new section about Apple ID.

4. Using iCloud Storage

A new section now displays information about how you use cloud storage.

5. Podcasts, maps and new animations

The widget "Podcasts" has appeared on the widget panel - it is convenient if you listen to content of this format. Podcasts can now also be shared in the messenger. The "Weather" icon appeared in "Maps". It shows the hourly local weather forecast. And the animation when launching applications has also changed a little. She became faster than before.
