After installing the extension, a sidebar appears in Gmail with shortcuts of all received and sent files. Dittach works with most file types, including documents, audio, and video. There is also a format filter, which further speeds up the search.
The extension also works in conjunction with the Gmail search bar. If you enter a request in it, then in the middle of the screen you will see suitable letters, and the panel on the right will display the files corresponding to the request.
The extension is useful in situations when you really need some kind of document, but you do not remember what it is called and who sent it. In addition, when scrolling through files, the date of their receipt is always displayed.
The only fly in the ointment is that Google limits the number of attachments the extension can scan per day. Therefore, you will have to wait a bit before Dittach shows all your files.
