Representatives of the VKontakte social network have revealed the launch date of their own payment system VK Pay - it will start working today, June 27. To be precise, at about 12:00 Moscow time, as reported by VKontakte, announced the launch of the VK Pay vc.ru payment system. Users of the largest social network in the CIS will be able to buy and sell goods within VK.
For now, only for communities
It is known that at first VK Pay will be available as a payment method only to administrators of large official communities. Basically, we are talking about small and medium-sized businesses that use the social network as one of the main advertising and communication platforms.
Later, the VK administration plans to develop its own merchandise store, where it will be possible to pay through VK Pay. There, official representatives of large companies will sell both digital goods and services. Among these are various food delivery services (Delivery Club), train and plane tickets (OneTwoTrip), ordering doctor's consultations (DOC +). In addition, some of the leaks included the payment of traffic fines, as well as replenishment of SIM-cards from various mobile operators.
No commission
VKontakte wants to first gain a large audience, and only then introduce a commission for transfers through VK Pay, so at first there will be no deductions in favor of the social network. The goal of the administration is to create a store with an annual turnover of 100 billion rubles.
Sellers will be able to withdraw up to 200 thousand rubles per month via VK Pay. The limit for a single transaction within the service is 60 thousand rubles.
Thus, VKontakte will come closer to its main goal - to make sure that the user does not need to leave the social network, so that everything he needs is at his fingertips within vk.com.
