What flight attendants look for when we board a plane

Smiling flight attendants who meet us at the entrance to the plane not only check boarding passes and wish you a pleasant flight. They are able to understand at a glance how we will behave in a critical situation, whether we need special attention and whether we can even be allowed on board. That's what they look at first.

Do you make eye contact

Typically, those who avoid eye contact are scared or nervous. The passenger may not admit that he has a strong fear of flying, but an experienced flight attendant will look after him just in case.

Are you nervous

Even if you don’t hide your eyes, but your hands are shaking, sweat appears, or other signs that you are uncomfortable appear, the flight attendant will definitely pay attention to this and, if necessary, will help to cope with panic.

Are you sober

Sometimes drunk passengers manage to slip through passport control, but this does not mean that they will not be deployed at the entrance to the plane. If a steward notices signs of inappropriate behavior or aggression while boarding, the drunk traveler may be kicked off the flight.

How fit are you?

We admire the flight attendants, and in the meantime they are wondering if we can help other passengers in the event of an emergency evacuation.

Do you answer the greeting

It's not just that a sociable passenger is more likely to be served in flight. In case of an unforeseen situation, such a passenger will be the first to seek help.

How are you feeling

Flight attendants always try to understand in advance how you will transfer the flight. If you are clearly not feeling well already on boarding, it may not be worth the risk. It will be much more difficult to pump you in flight than on the ground.

Are you pregnant

After a certain period of time, a special certificate from a doctor is required, allowing flights. Also, some airlines prohibit flights late in pregnancy. Flight attendants pay special attention to travelers in position and try to minimize the inconvenience of the flight as much as possible.
