Elon Musk is the new idol of the Internet. Perhaps everyone has heard that his image became the inspiration for the creators of the movie "Iron Man", and Robert Downey Jr., after spending the whole day with Musk, said that Tesla is doing "fucking cool things."

And indeed it is. The company recently unveiled a solar panel for the general public, which, with some luck, will make the Sun the main source of energy in the future. With ambitious goals fueling interest in Tesla, we're curious about how Tesla employees are responding to their work.

One of them, wishing to remain anonymous, told the service about a friend who works for the company.

A friend of his works at Tesla as a mechanical engineer. In his opinion, the peculiarity of the work lies in the fact that the tasks you are solving have not yet been solved by anyone else. In fact, you are creating the first such product. It's incredibly difficult, but the reward is proportional to the effort.

Management staff, engineers and blue-collar workers have a ten-hour working day. When deadlines are tight, you have to work harder, but sometimes, when the schedule is less stressful, you can go home earlier. Unlike Musk, who does not recognize personal life, the management team is in most cases more loyal.

An anonymous Tesla employee sees the benefits of the job as being able to get in touch with new technology and sometimes see Elon walking through the factory. As for the salary, it is slightly less than the market average, but still quite high.

However, not everything is so rosy. On the site, which is an American job search site, Tesla is rated three out of five stars. Many former employees complain about being treated like robots. At the same time, the company pays average market salaries, and the motivation to work disappears.

For some, Tesla is a dream company. Marketer Sergio Ochoa, for example, created Teslashouldhire.me to describe why he wants to work for the company. Sergio's site reached Tesla's recruiters, but at that time they did not need marketers.

In general, if we summarize all the reviews about the company, we can draw the following conclusion.

Working at Tesla is tough and not suitable for those looking to find a balance between personal life and work. Some managers try to show employees that they are easily replaceable and unimportant. This and the standard wage discourage work. However, for many, the motivation to do something that no one else has done outweighs the disadvantages. And they consider the experience gained at Tesla invaluable.
