To diversify even the most ordinary potato side dish, a marinade sauce will help, with which you can mix the pieces before placing in the oven. In this material, the base of such a sauce will be everyone's favorite mixture of mustard, lemon and a small amount of honey, which caramelizes after baking.
Ingredients:
- โ glasses of sunflower or olive oil;
- โ glasses of Dijon mustard;
- 2 lemons;
- โ glasses of grain mustard;
- 1 teaspoon honey;
- 6 cloves of garlic;
- 6 large potatoes.
Start by mixing the ingredients for the sauce. Whisk the butter along with both mustards, honey, garlic paste, and the zest of two lemons and the juice of one of them.
Cut the peeled potato tubers into cubes and mix with the sauce. Leave the pieces for 10 minutes, then transfer to a baking sheet, after allowing the excess marinade to drain. By the way, the leftover sauce can be used for marinating meat, for example.
Potatoes should be placed on a baking sheet in one layer.
Salt the potatoes generously and place the dish in the oven at 200 degrees. After half an hour, remove the baking sheet, turn the potatoes over and leave at the same temperature for another 15 minutes. As a result, the pieces will be covered with a sweetish crust on the outside and remain soft and crumbly on the inside.
Sprinkle potatoes with herbs and serve as a versatile side dish with any main course.
