How Qi technology works

The interaction of a smartphone with a charger is based on electromagnetic induction between two coils located in the transmitter and receiver. When the power supply is connected, the mains voltage is converted into alternating current, and a magnetic field is formed around the transmitter coil. The receiving coil, falling into this field, begins to generate its own alternating current. This current is converted into a constant voltage, with the help of which the smartphone's battery is charged.

The use of this technology implies the exact location of the smartphone on the charge transmitter module. When it comes to most docking stations, the convenience of using the gadget during such a recharge is out of the question. This is once again the advantage of the Xvida magnetic system: it can be used without fear of interrupting the charging process.

What Xvida is made of

First, you need to decide whether your smartphone supports Qi wireless charging and whether it requires a separate receiver for this. Some Samsung and Nokia Lumia models have pickup coils on board, but you have to buy a special case to wirelessly charge your iPhone. Fortunately, what Apple didn't foresee, Xvida did.
