The basic ingredient list is no different from that of a classic granola recipe. Any additives like seeds, dried fruits, superfoods, candied fruits and chocolate can be combined to your liking.

On one of the burners, heat a skillet with a tablespoon of oil and use it to fry the oatmeal. Stir regularly and roast the oatmeal for about 5 minutes over medium heat until it is pleasantly creamy.

At the same time, put a saucepan with the remaining butter, honey, sugar and cinnamon on the fire. Wait for the mixture to boil and dissolve the sugar crystals, stirring everything with a whisk. Simmer over low heat for about 2 minutes.

Combine the oatmeal with the selected additives (we settled on dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds), then pour the honey-sugar syrup over the oatmeal and mix thoroughly.

Spread the granola over a parchment-lined baking sheet, refrigerate at room temperature first, and then put it in the freezer for 15 minutes to speed up the syrup hardening.

Crumble the finished granola and store in airtight containers at room temperature.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (360 g) oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • ⅔ cup (160 ml) vegetable oil;
  • 4 tablespoons (60 ml) honey
  • ⅓ cup (65 g) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ⅔ cups pumpkin seeds.

Preparation

  1. Fry the oatmeal in heated olive oil for 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine vegetable oil with honey, sugar and cinnamon. Let the mixture simmer over low heat for about 2 minutes, stirring with a whisk until the sugar crystals dissolve.
  3. Combine the flakes with the additives and pour over the honey-sugar syrup. Spread the granola over a piece of parchment, refrigerate at room temperature, and then place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  4. Crush the granola and pack it into airtight containers.
