Perhaps the most popular way to cook cauliflower is to fry it in batter, but we suggest trying something new - cabbage steaks. Just a few ingredients, a minimum of effort, and an interesting and delicious vegetable side dish will flaunt on your table for any dish.
Ingredients:
- a head of cauliflower;
- ¼ glasses of olive or sunflower oil;
- ⅔ a teaspoon of dried garlic;
- 1 teaspoon of a mixture of Provencal herbs;
- ½ teaspoon salt;
- barbecue sauce.
Combine oil with a mixture of Provencal herbs, salt and dried garlic.
Rinse a head of cabbage and divide into 2 cm thick pieces. A small head of cauliflower will make about 4-5 "steaks".
Grease each of the slices with herbal oil on both sides, place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment and place them in a preheated 200-degree oven for 40 minutes.
After a while, the surface of the cabbage "steaks" will lightly brown, they will become soft and ready to serve, but we suggest additionally glazing them with barbecue sauce. You can cook it according to our recipe or choose a store product.
After smearing each of the slices with sauce, return them to the oven, but this time directly under the grill, and leave for another 3-4 minutes so that the sugar from the sauce has time to caramelize.
