The music folder on my smartphone has 12 applications. Perhaps I could reduce their number to at least a dozen, but each of them seems to me too useful to delete. Of this musical dozen, half of the applications are needed only for those who write music or play musical instruments. The rest are needed to find new artists and just for fun. If you are the type of person who loves to listen to a variety of music, these apps are for you.

Choosic ()

Choosic is a style-driven app for finding new music. After you select the genres you are interested in, the application will suggest songs, and you can send them to your favorite list or skip. Choosic will learn from your preferences, each time finding more suitable music.

My music

If you are completely into music and want to gather all your favorite bands and artists in one place, then My Music is what you need. Otherwise, I would venture to assume that you will not like the application. My Music is a filing cabinet of your musical preferences. Instead, you can use, for example, Evernote. But why, if there is a decent application built specifically for this?

Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords

Yes, at the beginning of the article I mentioned that we will not talk about professional applications, but UGTC is at the crossroads. It contains tablatures and chords for tens of thousands of songs, and since each of us at least once in our life took a guitar and extracted something similar to music from it, the application will be useful to many.

iSyncr

iSyncr is an app for masochists who use iTunes and Android devices. With it, you can sync your iTunes library with your smartphone. In fact, I am dissembling. There are a lot of people with Macs and Android smartphones, so iSyncr can really come in handy. Judging by the reviews in the Play Market, the application is much better and more stable than all its competitors.

Discovr

During the time that I have been using the iPhone, there were not so many applications that I would say, “Wow!” When I saw them. Discovr is one of them. Now there are incomparably more services for finding music, but Discovr was one of the first, and now it remains at its best. Convenient interface, simplicity and the ability to listen to new and good music. What else is needed?

Shazam

You probably know about, but if you hear this name for the first time, then immediately install the application and place its icon on the home screen - Shazam will come in handy more than once. The application analyzes the playing music and finds in its database the name of the track and its artist. Nine times out of ten, Shazam guesses correctly, and you will turn it on repeatedly when you hear a cool song on the radio, in a bar or cafe.

Radsone

Radsone is a music player designed to provide the best possible sound quality. I used the player myself for a while and noticed a difference, albeit a small one. I sin on the cheapness of mine. Try the player in action and decide if it's worth the money. The app's reviews are extremely positive.

Your turn. What music applications do you use and for what purposes?
