The Telegram channel is a very effective tool for interacting with the audience. It works equally well as a cozy personal blog or great corporate media.

There are two types of channels: public and private. The former are available through the built-in search, and anyone can subscribe to them. The second channels are not displayed in the search, and subscription is possible only by a special link-invitation from the administrator. If desired, the privacy settings can be changed at any time.

Unlike groups, in Telegram channels, users can only read, but not write messages. However, if you turn on the comment feature, subscribers will be able to discuss the post.

The process of creating a channel from a smartphone, computer or web version is practically the same - the names of the items are the same everywhere. For convenience, we will consider the procedure using a mobile application as an example.

Start Telegram and on the "Chats" tab, click the new message button, and then select "Create channel".

Tap the button of the same name again. Name your channel and add a description. By tapping on your profile icon, attach your avatar.

You can choose a picture from the "Gallery", find it on the Web or take it on camera. When everything is ready, click "Next".

Choose the type of channel and come up with a memorable short link with a login, where the channel can be found through the search. Click "Next" and confirm the creation of the channel by tapping on the OK button.

Select the people from your contact list that you want to invite to the channel and click Next. Channel created - you can publish the first post for new subscribers.

If you are not going to run the channel yourself, you will have to add one or more administrators. To do this, tap the name or avatar of the channel and go to the "Administrators" item.

Click "Add Administrator" and select a user from the number of subscribers. Configure its rights by turning on the appropriate toggle switches.

To manage the audience, the "Subscribers" item is provided in the channel menu. It allows you to add people by clicking on the button of the same name, as well as ban individual users. In the latter case, you must press "Change" and tap on the red icon opposite the person's name.

If you make a mistake with the name, description or other channel settings, it is easy to change them at any time. Click "Edit" in the channel menu. Here you can rename it, change its description and type, and add author signatures and subscriber comments to publications.
