So, autumn, rain, you are going for a run. What to wear?

Hat with brim or visor

In summer, a wet head is normal and even refreshing, but in autumn, in cool weather, this option will not work. Depending on the temperature (for example, +10 ° C), you can wear a hat made of fleece, merino or special fibers. It is desirable that the hat covers the ears. If it is warm enough outside (above + 15 ° С), you can choose a light hat with brim or a visor - they will make it so that the wind and rain will not get into your eyes.

Glasses

Special glasses for running should be worn if it is not a simple drizzling rain outside, but a heavy downpour.

Upper layer

A light raincoat made of a special fabric (often polyester) is suitable as a top layer in rainy weather, which will keep you dry while jogging and at the same time will bring internal moisture (sweat) out. The zipper can be used as a thermostat and can be unzipped to a certain limit if it gets too hot.

bottom layer

The choice of clothing for this layer depends on the outside temperature. If it is +15 ° С, then you can wear a T-shirt made of special sports fabric under the jacket. In cooler conditions, it is worthwhile to warm up and choose a high-tech polyester jersey with long sleeves as the bottom layer. It keeps you warm and wicks excess moisture away from your body.

Since we are dealing with wet and cool weather, it is advisable to choose clothes made of soft fabric for the bottom layer. It should not rub, otherwise any ingress of moisture will result in severe abrasions and even blisters.

Girls usually wear a third layer - a sports supportive top. We remind you that it is advisable to choose options with good support and wide straps that will not bump into the body and rub.

Tights

Short running shorts at + 10 ° C, and even in the rain, very few people will wear. Classic tights are a standard option for the autumn cold. It is advisable to wear underwear under them, but not cotton, but special sportswear, otherwise you risk rubbing yourself in causal places.

Socks

It is advisable to choose not cotton socks, but sports socks, made of special fabrics that will remove excess moisture. That is, the leg will not sweat so much, which will avoid chafing, and smell so much. In addition, these socks have another indisputable plus: they are much more durable than a simple cotton version.

Sneakers

If possible, choose a sneaker with a special Gore-Tex coating that will protect your feet from water. If there is no such option, it is advisable to choose denser sneakers compared to summer ones. But if there are large puddles, you will most likely get your feet wet anyway.

Drying wet sneakers is quite simple: take out the insoles from them and stuff them with dry newspaper. After a few hours, you take it out and, if the shoes are still wet, put in a new newspaper for another couple of hours.

Grease

Even in rather cool, but humid weather, the probability of chafing persists, since clothes wet from water stick to the body no worse than from sweat. This is especially true for the feet, since the likelihood of getting your feet wet by running into a puddle is much higher than getting wet in the right jacket. Just in case, it is worth smearing the places that are usually rubbed during summer jogging on the upper body.

Technique

If your running gadgets are more than just sports watches, waterproof or at least water resistant, you should take care not to drown your phone, player or headphones.
