How to draw a standing cartoon tiger
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser;
- black felt-tip pen.
How to draw
Draw a large circle, and inside it two small circles are the blanks for the head and eyes of the tiger.
Draw two broken lines down from the inner borders of the eyes. In the center of the lower border of the large circle, place an X with a pencil - here the tiger will have a nose.
Draw a square beard under the nose. On the sides of the head, draw triangular outlines of the fur, and above them add two semicircles - blanks for the ears.
From the right (in relation to you) ear, draw a horizontal line of the back. Its length should be 2.5 times the diameter of the head. Towards her, draw a curved chest line that starts from the tiger's beard. Where these lines meet, draw the outline of the hind leg with an oval foot.
Draw the other three legs and tail. If necessary, adjust the length of the legs so that they are proportional.
Circle your eyes with a felt-tip pen. Draw on each upper eyelid - an arc that extends beyond the contours of the eye's circumference - and paint over it. Draw the pupils under the eyelids with black ticks.
Circle the ears and face of the tiger. Draw the nose and beard as shown in the picture.
Draw an inner semicircular outline inside each ear. Draw the forehead between the ears with brackets, and triangular stripes near and above it. On the sides of the head, draw the fur sticking out to the sides. From above, it lies flat, and at an angle it begins to bulge. Depict this with rounded short strokes and zigzags towards the tiger's beard.
Trace the outlines of the head and draw stripes on the sides of them that look like crescents. Draw triangular fangs on both sides of the beard and paint over them.
Outline the entire body of the tiger with black and add shadows to the top of those two legs in the background. Draw three short toes on the front of each foot. Draw the ground and grass under the paws in arbitrary outlines.
Add shadows under the tiger's head and on the side of the shoulder. Draw two parallel arcs to the right of the shadow, representing a long strip on the body of the tiger. Draw shorter stripes on both sides of it, similar in shape to the sharp leaves of reeds.
Cover the body, tail and legs of the tiger with similar stripes with the tips pointing towards each other.
Paint the stripes with black and add shadows on the ground under the tiger. See the entire work progress here:

How to draw a reclining cartoon tiger
What do you need
- Paper;
- black felt-tip pen;
- colored markers or pencils.
How to draw
Draw a line slightly curved to the right with a black felt-tip pen and on either side of it draw slightly rounded corners directed to the right - these are the tiger's ears.
Draw a curved arc on the left (in relation to you) outline of the head. Mark the right outline with a short line at the bottom. Draw two lines inside the ears to indicate the folds. Extend the forehead line to these folds. On the forehead of the tiger, draw two parallel, arcuate stripes.
Draw the face of the tiger. The eyes resemble brackets with short strokes-eyelashes, above them are short lines of eyebrows. In the center of the muzzle there is a nose that looks like a triangle with smooth contours. Derive two semicircles from it, denoting the mouth.
Draw a protruding fur inside the left ear with a few strokes. Draw oval front legs.
Draw the rounded body and hind legs as shown in the picture.
Draw the tail. Draw a crease in the knee of the tiger's paw closest to you.
On each paw, draw a pattern of the cat's sole: three circles in a row represent the pads of the toes, and the outline, like a cloud, represents the heel.
Draw stripes on the tail, sides and legs of the tiger. Paint over the outer edges of the ears with black.
Color the pads of the feet pink, the nose red, and the tiger itself orange.

A simple lying tiger can be drawn like this:
How to draw a sitting cartoon tiger
What do you need
- Paper;
- felt-tip pen.
How to draw
Draw the tiger's cheeks with two curved lines directed towards each other, with a notch in the center of each. Draw the blanks of the eyes between them. It is not necessary to strictly observe the geometric correctness of the figures: the tiger will be cartoonish, so slight distortions of the contours are acceptable and even add charm to the picture.
Paint over the pupils, leave small white circles inside. Draw eyebrows above the eyes, and on the sides of the head use zigzag lines to mark the fur.
Above the eyebrows, draw a rounded forehead line with patches of hair in the middle. Draw oval ears on the left and right.
Add rounded outlines inside the ears. On the cheeks of the tiger, draw stripes that look like elongated, curved triangles.
Draw the nose, smile and chin as shown in the picture.
Add symmetrical black stripes on the forehead and at the tips of the ears.
Draw a front paw extending from the left (in relation to you) cheek.
On it, make transverse stripes and depict the second paw.
Draw three stripes on the second leg. Draw the sides of the tiger with two lines diverging from the head, and below the soles of the hind legs.
Draw pads on the toes and heels. Draw a curved tail near the right (in relation to you) paw. Draw the stripes on the sides of the tiger.
Draw two stripes on the tail too - and the tiger is ready. This is how it looks in the video:

And here is another simple tiger to perform:
How to draw a standing realistic tiger
What do you need
- Paper;
- pencil;
- eraser;
- a round lid with a diameter of about 7 cm or a compass;
- felt-tip pen.
How to draw
Draw two circles using a lid or compass.
Draw another circle a little higher and to the left, a smaller one. Connect the shapes with smooth lines along a tangent, forming the general outlines of the animal's body.
Mark where the legs, tail and ears of the future tiger will be.
Draw a rough outline of the muzzle.
Refine the outlines of the muzzle and ears, but do not add details. Draw the front left leg. The shoulder begins at about the level of the muzzle, from which the contour descends to the rounded foot.
Add guidelines for all legs and tail. Note that the right front leg is almost completely hidden behind the left, and the right foot is seen as if slightly above and to the left of the left foot. The back right foot should also be slightly higher than the left. This impression is created at the expense of perspective.
With a black felt-tip pen, begin to draw the face. The stripes make the tiger recognizable first of all, so they need to be given special attention.
Outline the ears, add stripes on them and on the cheeks. Draw a mustache and short strokes for the fur on the neck.
Trace the entire tiger shape with a felt-tip pen and erase the pencil lines.
Cover the tiger with black stripes like in the picture. They are like shoots of plants of various shapes and sizes, directed towards the middle of the body. The stripes change direction on the legs and tail.

Or an adorable playing tiger:
How to draw a reclining realistic tiger
What do you need
- Paper;
- pencil;
- eraser;
- black felt-tip pen;
- colored pencils or markers.
How to draw
At first, do not press hard on the pencil: most of the paths that you draw in the first steps will need to be erased later. Draw a circle on the right side of the paper and divide it with horizontal and vertical lines into four equal parts.
In the center of the lower half of the circle, write another, smaller one. Its lower border should slightly go beyond the border of the large circle - the head. This small shape will be the base for the tiger's face. In the upper half of the head, on the right and left, draw identical semicircular blanks for the ears.
Draw another circle below, slightly larger than the head. It is located at the back, so its top border is not visible. Draw an oval that includes the second circle. Its length is approximately three diameters of a circle, and its height is one diameter.
Draw in smooth outlines the two front legs, one back and the tail. Do not be precise, the main thing is to outline the general outline.
Draw two small circles above the horizontal guide for the head, and then add almond-shaped eyes. Paint over the corners and draw black round pupils in the center of the eyes.
In the center of the muzzle circle, draw a slightly curved V icon. Inside it, with a horizontal wave, depict the upper border of the nose, and below with two semicircles - the outlines of the mouth. Mark a semicircular fluffy chin with short strokes along the lower border of the muzzle. Add small shadows falling on the chin below the mouth.
Complete the lines of the ears so that they go slightly over the head. Make them slightly wavy for the fur, and for the same purpose add strokes on the inside of the ears. Add fur with short strokes of the pencil along the outline of the head. Make your cheeks fluffy - they should protrude beyond the circle with which you marked the head.
Draw the front legs with stroking movements. Make them narrower in the center than at the edges. Draw fingers on the tips of the paws.
One hind leg lies behind the other. Therefore, it is enough to show in the figure one paw entirely and only the edge of the second. Add toes at the tips of the hind legs and complete the outline of the tail - it ends where the foot is.
Trace the drawing with a black felt-tip pen and erase the pencil lines. Add a few strokes for the chest crease.
Cover the tiger in stripes. Note that they have smooth, curved outlines and run in long, thin lines across the body. The stripes around the eyes are the shortest. Leave the nose and tips of the paws clean, and make the tip of the tail black.
Paint over the stripes with black felt-tip pen and erase the pencil. Tint the tiger with an orange pencil or felt-tip pen without touching the chest, lower part of the figure, muzzle and area around the eyes.
Gradually add brown, yellow and orange to depict light and shadow on the tiger's fur. Make some of the white areas gray, and add a thick shadow under the animal. For more information on how to make this drawing, see the video tutorial:

Another easy way to draw a lying tiger:
How to draw a seated realistic tiger
What do you need
- Paper;
- a simple pencil or thin felt-tip pen;
- thick marker.
How to draw
Draw the furry head of the tiger with short stroking strokes of the pencil. Start with an arc at the top of the sheet. Draw rounded ears on either side of it, sticking out upward, and connect them in a semicircle curved downward. The tiger's chin should protrude slightly beyond the semicircle.
Draw the outline of the mouth with a wavy line. Draw a T-shape for the nose above it.
Draw a line from the nose up and draw a round eye near it. On the other left, draw the second eye. Draw the corners of the eyes and sharper outlines of the nose and mouth.
Draw round pupils in the eyes, leave round highlights in them unpainted. Draw a mustache under the nose.
Extend the outline of the head to about the middle of the ears. Draw the fur in the ears with short strokes. Just below the left (in relation to you) ear, begin to draw the body of the tiger. With the same abrupt movements of the pencil, draw a line down and draw a short fluffy paw with an oval foot.
Draw the second paw on the right and draw a chest line between them. From the middle of the tiger's head, start drawing its back.
Drop the rounded back line to about the middle of the front leg. To the right, with an arc, depict the bent hind paw of the animal. To the left of the tiger, draw the tip of the tail. Between the front legs, define the chest more clearly and outline the almost invisible right hind leg.
Draw toes with claw lines on the front paws.
Cover the tiger cub's head in stripes using a wide marker. The stripes are of different lengths and widths - see the picture for how they should be positioned. Add stripes on the ears and under the nose. Leave the nose itself and the inner parts of the ears white.
Cover the entire body of the tiger with stripes, except for the lower legs. If something is not clear, watch this video:
