Create open lush roses, delicate buds and flower bouquets with pencil, paints and felt-tip pens.

How to draw an open rose with a pencil

What do you need
- Paper;
- simple pencil.
How to draw a rose
1. Draw a small smooth line. To the left of it, paint in something like a semicircle, leaving a small ponytail on top. Inside, add another rounded line.

2. Draw a smooth tick from the tail to the left. Draw a petal at the bottom left, as shown in the picture.

3. On the right above the shape, draw a petal in the form of a pointed dome. In the lower part on the left, draw another petal that looks like a tooth with a curved root.

4. Enclose the shape on the right with a smooth, rounded line. From the inside, add volume to the flower by drawing a line from the bottom corner and marking the side of the bud. Draw a domed petal on top.

5. At the bottom, outline another petal and a couple of curved lines, as shown in the photo.

6. Draw three domed petals on top, connecting the right one with the outermost line drawn in the previous step.

7. From the bottom left corner between the petals, draw a line and draw another around. Add a bottom petal with wavy edges on the right.

8. Draw the last two petals: at the bottom left - with a curved line, on the side - with a domed line.

9. Shade the middle of the rose.

10. Paint the entire flower in the same way.
What other options are there

How to draw a rose
1. Sketch the outlines of the jagged rose. Draw a truncated cone in the middle.

2. Draw a smooth, curved line under the apex of the cone. Erase unnecessary strokes with an eraser. The video below shows when to do this. Draw the tips of the folded petals on top.

3. Under the bottom smooth line in the cone, draw another one and draw the curved edge of the petal. Draw another one to the left of the bud.

4. On the left and right, draw along a short line and outline the outlines of the two petals, as shown in the figure.

5. From the right line, continue the folded petal. It should frame the bud halfway. Make the left petal in the same way.

6. Draw a few more petals around with curved edges, as shown in the picture. See the video below for details.

7. Decorate the outermost curved petals and stem by drawing two straight lines downward at an angle and marking short thorns from them. Draw a large sheet with carved edges on the left behind the flower. With a simple pencil, add shadows in the middle of the flower.

8. Use a felt-tip pen or marker to paint over the rose petals. Once again, go through it and with a matching pencil on those places where the pencil shadows were.

9. Color the stem and leaf and add volume to them the same way as the flower, playing with the shadows.

10. The final touch - highlight some areas of the rose with a white pencil.
What other options are there
Here's a simpler method. You can color the rose with colored pencils or felt-tip pens.
How to draw an open rose with paints

What do you need
- Paper;
- brushes;
- water;
- watercolor paints.
How to draw a rose
1. Dampen a small area of paper with a wet brush. Using chaotic movements, draw the base of the flower, shaped like a cloud, as shown in the instructions.

2. Use small strokes to add shadows with a darker color.

3. Paint the bottom and left side of the rose with a second color, leaving small highlights in the center.

4. At the bottom and slightly above, make a few strokes of paint of an even darker shade. Add strokes of a different color at the top and slightly to the left of the middle.

5. With a dry brush, go over the top and central parts of the flower, highlighting the outlines of the petals. Add darker strokes under the bleached areas.

6. Add some greenery to the bottom of the flower. Mix the base paint with green and paint the leaves with carved edges as shown in the picture. Whiten them with a dry brush. Just below, depict a green leaf that looks like an oval feather. Use your nails or something sharp to mark the veins. See the video below for details.

7. Draw sepals under the rose with conical strokes, on the left - a small rounded bud with a light edge and the same sepals, in the center - a slightly curved stem. Use strokes to add a few more leaves to the left and behind the stem.

8. Give volume to the leaves with color, add veins to them. Make some dark strokes on the bottom of the flower. The detailed process is shown in the video.

How to draw a rose
1. Draw a horizontal oval tilted to the left. Draw a figure down from it so that the whole picture resembles a vase.

2. To the left of the oval, draw a curved line down to the bottom of the shape. Draw a petal by adding another one to this line: from the middle of the right side of the "vase" to the center of its base. Draw a petal on the right as shown in the picture.

3. Draw the curled edge of the petal in the middle between them with wavy lines.

4. On the left under the oval, make another small, curled edge in the shape of a crescent. Use curved lines to mark the edges of the inner petals at the top.

5. Draw in the middle of the rose, using curved lines to draw curled petals, as shown in the photo.

6. Use two lines to add a stem and thin pointed curved leaves to the rose.

7. With a finely sharpened pencil or pen, trace the outlines of the flower, stem and leaves to brighten them. Draw a pattern of short lines on the latter.

8. Shade around the edges of the petals, stem and leaves.

9. Finally, lengthen the stem and paint in a couple more oval petals with carved edges and veins.

How to draw a rose
1. Draw a small horizontal oval. Draw another around it with flattened ends. The inner oval should touch the lower border of the outer one. Draw two lines down the sides and outline the shape with two rounded petals.

2. Draw two more smooth lines down the sides. To the left and right of the figure, depict the petals, the sides of which touch each other at the bottom: you get something like a torn heart. Draw two more lines around the edges.

3. On the left below the shape, add a smooth horizontal stroke. Extend the right line down towards the middle.

4. On the right, draw the folded edge of the petal like a crescent, and under it draw the whole petal, drawing a smooth line down. Add another one on the left in the same way.

5. Add thin sepals to the flower at the base, draw out a curved stem with two lines and draw teardrop-shaped leaves from it.

6. With a black marker or felt-tip pen, circle all the lines and make a pattern on the leaves.

7. Use a colored felt-tip pen or pencil to color in the bud. Then choose a darker color and paint shadows around the edges.

eight. Color the stem and leaves the same way.

The author of the video first made a light yellow background for the picture and let the paint dry. You can skip this step if you wish.
1. Sketch the outlines of the bud and stem.

2. Add curled petals on the left and right. Erase the extra contours around the edges. See the video below for details.

3. In the center, draw one pointed petal, and above it - the edge of the other. Erase the top outline and shape the middle of the flower.

4. Paint in narrow sepals and a small petal on the left.

5. Dilute the base color with water and paint on the edge of the left petal and the middle at the top.

6. Color in the center petal and the right edge.

7. Make the color a little more saturated and paint over the left petal and the edge of the petal at the top in the middle.

8. Give a darker shade to the top of the flower and the part between the center and right petals.

9. Add a shadow at the top left on the inner edge of the petal. Paint the top of the rose and the leftmost petal.

10. Add shadows and volume to the flower by playing with color saturation. All the details are in the video.

11. Finally, color the stem and leaves green.

How to draw a bouquet of roses
1. Draw two patterned lines at an angle to each other. Connect their edges at the bottom with a rounded line. This will be the packaging of the bouquet.

2. Just to the right of the middle, paint on the edge of the wrapping paper. Draw three smooth lines at the bottom of the folds and small round holes at the top.

3. Draw a small horizontal spiral at the top and draw the bud by drawing two lines down and marking the edge of the petal with a diagonal.

4. Draw the rest of the flowers in the same way.

5. Draw stems and leaves with a shape like a candle flame to them with straight lines.

6. Draw a small rectangle under the bouquet and draw a horizontal strip inside. To the left and to the right of it, depict the bow loops with smooth rounded lines. Add two large ribbons below, marking their edges with inverted checkmarks, and two small ones on the sides of them. Draw the edge of the package in the middle.

7. Color the drawing.

8. The final touch is to give the picture a shadow and lightly highlight the flowers and bow.
