Most likely, the series will be based on the fourth book of the series "The Wizard and the Crystal". Its plot is mostly dedicated to Roland's early years. Then his father sent the young Shooter, along with his comrades Cuthbert Allgood and Alain Jones, to the town of Hambry, since the revolutionary Farson became more active there.

In the city Roland met Susan Delgado and they fell in love. But young heroes have to confront older and more experienced bandits.

Who will play in the TV series "The Dark Tower"

The main role of young Roland Descanne will be played by Sam Strike, familiar from the TV series "Flying Through the Night".

Jasper Pääkkonen (Vikings) will also appear in the project. He will play the main villain - the Man in Black (aka Randall Flagg, Martin Broadklock or Walter Padick).

Interestingly, in parallel, the streaming service CBS All Access is filming a mini-series "Confrontation", based on another large-scale work by Stephen King. The villain there is also Randall Flagg, but played by Alexander Skarsgard.
