Spend just a minute and a half watching this video, and you will learn how to get unusual artistic pictures using simple tools at hand.
In this video, photographer Peter McKinnon shares his favorite tricks. He usually uses them in the field when he cannot carry his entire arsenal of lenses, filters and lighting equipment with him.
Here is a list of the techniques used in the video:
- Belt. Attach the camera to a strap and shoot scenes in which the camera should move smoothly relative to the subject.
- Coffee cuff. Use this simple item as a makeshift lens hood.
- Lip balm. Apply it around the edges of the lens for a romantic softness. Just remember to clean the chamber later.
- Plastic bag. Very unusual effects can be achieved with this common item.
- Sunglasses. Forgot your favorite filter? It's okay, glasses with dark glasses will come to the rescue.
- Blade of knife. Try using it to direct light into the camera lens. Use different angles of reflection to achieve the best effect.
- Lantern. An excellent portable light source that offers a huge field of experimentation.
- Smartphone. The flash of your mobile phone can be used as another light source, and the surface of the screen can be used to reflect the picture.

We talk on the phone, we watch news feeds on social networks, we surf an endless number of sites, forgetting about normal life.
Photo Editor is the best free photo editor for Android
Until recently, many were firmly convinced that a good shot can only be taken with a professional camera with an expensive lens, and that you can normally edit a photo only in Photoshop.
