There are several ways to make a slime (slime), however, they have their drawbacks. Some slimes require ingredients that are difficult to reach or dangerous for the baby. Other toys are easy to spoil during cooking, others are too unstable. This option is devoid of the listed disadvantages.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 glass of water at room temperature;
  • 5 teaspoons (25 ml) PVA glue;
  • food coloring;
  • sequins - optional.

If you find liquid starch in the supermarket, cross the first two ingredients off the list.

Preparation

First you need to prepare liquid starch. To do this, dissolve cornstarch in ¼ cup water. Make sure there are no lumps left. After that, set the mixture aside and bring the remaining water to a boil in a saucepan. When the water boils, add the previously diluted starch to it. Stir the mixture for about a minute and then turn off the stove. If you already have ready-made liquid starch, skip this step.

Pour ⅓ cups of liquid starch into the bag (the leftovers will be useful for washing or new slimes). Add a few drops of dye. Just do not overdo it, otherwise the slime will paint your hands during the game. Next, pour PVA into the bag and add glitter.

Close or tie the bag tightly and stir the contents thoroughly until the bulk turns into a curd. Drain the remaining liquid. The clot itself - slime - blot with a napkin to remove excess moisture from the surface.

Keep in mind that a lot depends on the brand of glue, so the slime may not work the first time. If the toy sticks to your hands, then the PVA should be less. If the slime is too hard or crumbles, then you have overdone it with starch.

The shelf life of such a slime is about a week.
