15 best films and one TV series with George Clooney

George Clooney is one of the most sought-after and highest paid actors in the world. He's equally as good as a tough criminal, a cynical lawyer, or an outright idiot. It is difficult to imagine that as a child, due to a hereditary disease, half of his face was paralyzed and he was bullied at school. After all, years later, he turned into a favorite of directors and viewers.

But it turns out that this place is literally filled with vampires.

Quentin Tarantino met George Clooney on the set of Ambulance, where the director was working on one of the episodes. Having conceived a film about vampires, Tarantino called the actor for the main role, and he lost the director's chair to Robert Rodriguez and played the crazy brother. The image of Clooney from this picture became a real cult and spawned a whole wave of tattoos on the arm and shoulder, like his hero.

This collaboration between Clooney and the Coen brothers turned out to be less successful. The film is even called the worst of the Coens' films. But in their case, even failure looks much more interesting than the work of many other directors.

8. Siriana

For the role, George Clooney gained about 10 kilograms. This led to an injury on the set - the actor did not cope with the stunt and injured his back. The director suggested that he also shave his head, but Clooney refused. And the efforts were not in vain - it was this role that brought him the only acting Oscar in his career. Later, Clooney also received an award as the producer of the film "Operation Argo".

Initially, in this film, the main character had a girlfriend. She was played by Jennifer Ehle. But then all the scenes with her participation were cut out. It is interesting that the same situation happened with the film "Siriana" - then all episodes with Michelle Monaghan, who played the hero's wife, were removed. Apparently, some directors prefer George Clooney to be extremely lonely in the frame.

In the original, the film is called "Men Who Look at Goats," and this immediately hints at the parody of the plot. Clooney's funny character Lin Cassidy is based on several real-life personalities. The most striking of them is Guy Savelli, who calls himself a psychic. And he really claims to have killed the goat with his gaze.
