1. Black steed

Finally, the search team finds the boy and the horse and takes them home, where Alec and his pet begin to prepare for the most prestigious races on the planet.

For his directorial debut, Carroll Ballard chose Walter Farley's novel of the same name. In those days, such a rich plot (shooting on location on the island, horse racing) was difficult to transfer to the screen. Nevertheless, the film crew coped with their task, and even the author of the book eventually admitted to The Author / theblackstallion that the adaptation was a success.
