How to draw a standing cartoon horse
What is needed
- Paper;
- felt-tip pens.
How to draw
Draw the head with a black felt-tip pen - this is a vertical oval. From below it is flat. Draw a horizontal line inside the shape. Show the nostrils in arcs under it.
Draw a small, curved line for the chin. Draw small oval eyes with round irises. The horse's ears are like petals.
The body is a long, horizontal oval. There is a mane between him and his head. Show it with a zigzag line. Add hairs to the crown.
Draw a curled tail. Draw the legs. They look like elongated rectangles with rounded tips. Add guidelines for the hooves.
The saddle is half a square with rounded corners. Behind its contour is another line of the same shape. Tie the cuff with two vertical strokes, the stirrup - with a thin horizontal rectangle.
Paint over the head, ears, body and legs with a brown felt-tip pen. The eyes will be blue, and the mane and tail will be beige. Use the colors green and yellow for the saddle. The hooves are also yellow.

How to draw a rearing cartoon horse
What is needed
- Paper;
- black marker;
- colour pencils.
How to draw
With a marker, mark an arc at an angle - this is the horse's muzzle. Show the tousled mane on the forehead. The ear on the right looks like large and small leaves.
To depict the neck, draw two vertical, slightly curved lines: short and long.
Draw the front leg of the animal. This is a tilted cylinder. Mark the back with a long, curved line.
Show the tummy with another curved line. Draw the second leg. It is located slightly higher than the first.
The hind legs also resemble cylinders. The only difference is that they are located vertically and extended at the top. Draw the eyes. These are two small ovals. Paint over them, leaving some empty space for the highlights.
Mark a triangular eyelet on the left. Mark the mouth and eyebrows with arcs, nostrils with strokes. Draw a flowing mane on the right side of the neck. Add a tail. To make the details a little more realistic, show individual hairs.
Make the horse light brown. The color near the outlines is brighter than in the center of the drawing, so press harder than usual on the pencil. Use a darker shade for the mane and tail.
Go over the image with a yellow pencil. Draw pink cheeks. Make the hooves brown. Add red hairs.

How to draw
Draw the eyes - these are two black ovals with empty rounded highlights inside. Draw long, curved lines to the sides of the shapes.
Show a zigzag mane on the forehead. Mark an inverted triangle under the detail - you get the bridge of the nose.
Draw a rounded face under the long lines with two small bulges at the top. Draw oblique oval nostrils and paint them tightly.
Use a curved line to mark the crown of your head. Draw the mane to the right and left of the head. Draw two diamond-shaped ears. Draw one more figure in them, but smaller. This will show the interior of the detail.

How to draw a standing realistic horse
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser;
- black pen or liner;
- colour pencils.
How to draw
Without pressing hard on the pencil, mark two circles next to each other. The detail on the right will be slightly smaller. A little later, these shapes will help you draw the horse's body.
Make a small circle a little higher in level and to the left. Draw an elongated arc to it. You will get a sketch of the head. For now, mark the ear with a triangle.
To sketch the legs, draw four long lines. Notice that the parts on the left are curved where the hooves should be, and on the right they are also curved at the knees.
Use curved lines to connect the head to the chest. The neck will turn out. Show your back, belly and tail.
Draw the almond eye. Shade it, leaving some free space for the highlight. Add strokes around the part. Draw an oval nostril with a dashed line to the side of it.
Mark the mouth with a line segment. Contour the bulging chin. Shape the ear into a curved leaf. Behind the detail, sketch out the tip of the second ear. Sketch a bangs between them.
Show the angle of the lower jaw with an arc. Make a lot of strokes on the head.
Shape your legs. To do this, two more are drawn near the auxiliary lines. They are widened at the top, bending at the joints and at the pointed hooves.
Make the chest a little convex, and the tail voluminous and pointed at the bottom. Circle the body. Mark one long and two small oblique lines inside the neck. Draw a short mane.
Circle the drawing with a liner. Use the eraser to erase the pencil sketch.
Shade the mane, tail, nostril and eye with a dark brown pencil. Mark the muscles with the same shade: apply color to the stomach, legs, body. Draw stripes on the neck and head. Note that there are white spaces left in the example.
Go over the drawing with a light brown pencil. Place the shade next to the dark. Draw shadows in black. They will be on the belly, tail, distant legs, mane, lower part of the neck.
Gradually continue to add color to the accents already placed - the drawing will become brighter. At the very end, fill in the empty spaces on the case with a beige pencil. Make the hooves and nose light brown. Draw a shadow under the horse.

How to draw a realistic horse running
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser.
How to draw
Draw a massive circle. A little more to the right and higher, make another shape, smaller. A little later, these circles will help draw the chest and head.
Draw a tiny circle between the details. Connect it to the top circle with curved lines. This will be the muzzle.
Inside the headings, make two lines: vertical and horizontal. For now, mark the ears with elongated arcs.
Connect the head to the body with short and long lines. The neck will turn out. The back of the case is not fully visible - show it with a horizontal arc. Sketch the tail.
Mark the legs with broken lines at an angle. Bends where the joints are.
Draw almond-shaped eyes. Shade them from the inside, leaving some free space for the round highlights. Make lots of strokes around the elements.
Show teardrop-shaped nostrils. Draw small segments around them. Slightly narrow the muzzle from below.
Make the ears look like petals. Under the details, sketch out the mane sticking out in different directions.
Draw curved lines along the sides of the head. Add strokes to the cheeks and bridge of the nose.
Detail the front legs. To create the shape, add two more on the sides of the construction lines: on top they expand. Draw bulging joints on the bends. The hooves will be square.
Smooth the transition from neck to back. On the chest, mark several intermittent segments - this will show the muscles of the horse. Draw a flowing mane.
Circle the body. Sketch out the strokes of the chest. Draw the hind legs. The principle for the left leg is the same as the one you used for detailing the forelimbs. The leg on the right is slightly different: it is only partially visible. In addition, she performs further than the previous ones.
Draw the tail. It should flutter, so the edge on the left will resemble a zigzag line. Erase the auxiliary sketch with an eraser.
With a dark shade, paint over the ears and nostrils of the horse, with a light shade - the nose and head on the sides. If you want the mane to look realistic, draw the hairs separately, showing the direction of their growth.
Detail the horse's tail. Place some dots on your forehead. Paint over the body and legs of the animal. Don't forget to show shadows. For example, on the chest, neck and above the legs. Leave small areas above the hooves empty.

How to draw a realistic rearing horse
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser;
- a jar of cream with a round lid;
- black pen or liner.
How to draw
Place the jar of cream with the lid down and trace with a pencil. It will turn out to be a circle. From the top, just above the middle, release a long horizontal line. Place a container on its tip and make another shape. This is a sketch of the animal's body.
For now, mark the head with a massive tilted triangle. Draw a small triangular ear. To show the neck from the front, draw a line connecting the outline of the muzzle and chest. For the back, use an arch starting from the middle of the ear.
Use curved lines to connect the circles you made for the body. The back and stomach will turn out.
Outline the front legs bent - these are short lines that form an angle. Mark the joints with small circles. Hoof on right foot until triangular.
Draw the back leg. It consists of the same elements as the front. The difference is that the angle is facing the opposite direction. The tail is shaped like a large petal.
Take a black pen or liner. Shape your legs. To do this, on the sides of the auxiliary lines, you need to draw two more. They are widened at the top and bend at the joints. The hooves are like trapeziums. There are small indentations in front of them. Draw a branch-like shape above the hind leg.
Circle the horse's neck on the right. Start drawing the head. Use curved lines to make the triangle slightly larger. Note that the lower part of the part is more massive than the upper one due to the jaw. Mark the mouth with a wide stroke.
Draw an oval nostril. Place small arcs above it and the mouth. Draw a tilted almond eye. Paint over the bottom. Add short segments above the eye and long ones below it.
Shape the ear into a leaf and then connect it to the head. Add a second one behind the first detail, but notice that it is only partially visible. Circle the neck to the left. Outline the mane. The protruding curls are like curved triangles.
Circle the animal's neck and back. Keeping the shape of the tail, depict individual strands on it. In terms of technique, this does not seem to be drawing a mane. A little to the left of the back leg, outline the outline of the second element.
Sketch the uneven cliff on which the horse stands. Show a shadow under the animal.

How to draw a realistic horse face
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- eraser.
How to draw
Draw a large circle. To the left of it, make another one, but several times smaller. Connect the workpieces with segments. You will get a sketch of the muzzle.
Use curved lines to show the long neck of the animal. Draw triangular ears.
Make the muzzle a little smaller. Shape your nose and chin into a curved, undulating shape. Draw the horse's mouth. The animal's jaw resembles an arch.
Circle the ears. Draw a vertical line inside each one. Extend the part closer to you towards the center of the head. Draw the almond eye. Add some curved lines below and above it.
Draw a rounded nostril. Under the bridge of the nose and behind the mouth, make two straight lines with zigzag tips. Circle the neck, there should also be strokes inside it.
Paint over the horse's eye, but leave some free corners and some space inside. Shade the nostril, chin, area above the mouth, lines inside the head.
Draw a shadow under the jaw, on the ears on the left. Add shading to the eyelid, extend it in different directions from the eye.
Draw the mane. To make it look natural, make lines close to each other. On the forehead, the hairs seem to stretch to the nose, on the neck they fall down.
Unfold the pencil so that the lead touches the paper flat. Go along the lines on the neck and chin. Draw a shadow behind the contours of the drawing.
