How to make the perfect sorbet: basic rules
Sorbet is a dessert based on frozen fruit or berry juice and puree. It is prepared in two ways: you can cool mashed potatoes and juice in an ice cream maker or chop already frozen fruits and berries. It is important that they are properly ground: in terms of consistency, the sorbet should resemble a cream with individual splashes of tiny pieces of ice.
How to properly freeze fruits and berries →
To make sorbet, you need a blender or juicer with a special attachment - for example, Scarlett SC-JE50S41. Such a juicer can be won in the Lifehacker and Scarlett competition - see the conditions at the end of the article.
Fruits and berries do not need to be defrosted first: just take them out of the freezer, send them to the juicer and grind for several minutes.
Serve the sorbet right away until it's melted. If you don't have time, leave it in the freezer until it solidifies completely. To make the frozen mixture more fluffy, you can whisk it again with a blender. Serve the sorbet in bowls or waffle cones, garnished with fresh berries, fruit slices, caramel sauce or coconut flakes.
