Enpass for iOS saves money on 1Password

Can you remember how many sites you visit per day? How many of them require authorization? Do you have a password for each of them somewhere, or do you use the same one? Personally, I have all passwords stored in iCloud, this is a very convenient tool for auto-filling data combinations for sites. It is no longer possible to remember everything, and it is unsafe to put the same one. Nevertheless, there are also adherents of various password managers who can conveniently store all the necessary information about these web pages in encrypted form. 1Password is a good example of this. But the App Store is not famous for the only development of Agilebits …

For me personally, a password manager is needed only in one case, when I transfer from OS X to Windows. The latter does not have Safari, which means there is no convenient form autocomplete. These are the moments when 1Password and its alternatives are perfect for quickly and conveniently filling out web form data on the next page.

Once I already wrote about, and still hold this opinion. The point here is absolutely not greed (oh, come on, who am I kidding ?!), but the fact that the application (for me) is limited exclusively to the synchronization of the login / password pair for several sites that I access from under Windows. Not the most rational, in my humble opinion, purchase.

But something had to be done about this problem. So I once again opened the Apple app store and started looking for cheaper alternatives. And by the word "alternatives" I mean applications that are exactly similar in their functionality.

The search did not take long. Having caught a glance at the uncomplicated name “Enpass” and looking at the screenshots, I decided to conduct a test.

At first glance (and what to be honest, and on subsequent ones), Enpass is like two peas in a pod similar to its main competitor: many different elements, including credit card and bank account data, computer passwords, and more. Everything is minimalist and comfortable.

Just like 1Password, all of your credentials can be synced through the cloud with a choice of Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive or Box. Enpass also has a built-in browser and extension for Safari. In general, it does not stand out in anything particularly outstanding, but it does not lag behind either. And one of the advantages (for some users) is the conditional freeness of the application.

Yes, Enpass has in-app purchases. You can store up to 20 account data for free. If you want to remove the restriction, you will have to spend 599 rubles. Although, compared to 3K for 1Password, this seems like a perfectly reasonable amount. Moreover, for a product that is not inferior in quality. Well, for those who have only about 20 different accounts on sites with complex passwords - in general, there is nothing to worry about, you can use it absolutely free.
