Google wants to create the perfect environment for people with disabilities

The world population is now 7 billion people, and 15% of them have some form of disability. Almost 80% of people with disabilities live in developing countries, where there are still no conditions that would allow them to feel comfortable in society: to move freely around the city, study and work on an equal basis with everyone. Google recently launched a $ 20 million program to help create the ideal environment for people with disabilities.

The company's program is aimed at identifying the numerous problems that people with disabilities face on a daily basis, as well as creating conditions for their comfortable life. Google representatives survey people with disabilities and their families, as well as innovators and inventors who are able to solve the identified problems. Google has already hooked up several startups, including Mission Arm, E-Nable, and World Wide Hearing. And, perhaps, it will attract more, since the budget of the program is an impressive amount.

The program itself is divided into two parts. The first invites us to imagine a new world, answering the question: "What if …" And the second - to solve existing problems in order to achieve ideal living conditions.

You can also suggest your idea on a special page dedicated to the new program. The information received will be analyzed by Google until September 30, 2015.
