Inkwork for iOS turns photos into art objects

An application with many filters will turn an ordinary photo into a masterpiece.

This photo editor is more for fun. With it, it will not work in the traditional sense to remove dark circles under the eyes, smooth out the tone of the face or hide minor defects. But this is not required: after processing, the photo will look more like a drawing in a graphic than a realistic picture.

There are 95 filters in the application, but many of them are similar.

You can choose the intensity of the effect: from close to real features to abstract and blurry.

Different background and ink colors are at your disposal. For the background, they offer soft pastel shades, and on ink you can recoup: there is fuchsia, bright blue, red, yellow, light green and other saturated colors. Also, the original photo can be cropped inside the application.

Contour images, somewhat reminiscent of an engraving, are not always successful: if you apply effects to a photo that is too light, without much detail and with a predominant white color, the result will be average.

The finished image can be saved to the device.

In general, Inkwork is a simple and easy-to-use application with interesting effects. The idea itself is not new, such things can be done in familiar Photoshop. But in Inkwork it is done faster and does not require any special skills.
