Many people think that it is enough just to spray the resulting solution on the wallpaper, and then, when the wallpaper is well saturated and softened as a result, just peel it off. It's actually not that simple. Old wallpaper (wallpaper in the images from about 80s) has two layers: the top one is vinyl (waterproof) and the bottom one is paper.
First you need to get rid of the vinyl layer. Sometimes, to do this, you need to pry off the top layer with something sharp.
Step 3
But now that you have completely got rid of the top layer, it's time for the prepared solution: sprinkle the remaining paper layer of wallpaper with it and wait until the wallpaper is well saturated. After that, you should be able to remove them without any problem.
Step 4
If you don't want to use a spray bottle, you can pour the resulting solution into a paint tray. Use a roller to apply the solution to the wallpaper.
So the work will go much faster, but you will have to clean the apartment longer after such manipulations.
